Growing Autumn Onions from Sets

You can get your Onion Sets at your local garden centre between September and October and online at many retailers including:

  • Organic Gardening Catalogue
  • D T Brown
  • RHS Plants
  • The Garlic Farm

What’s the difference between Autumn and Spring Growing Onions?

Autumn Growing Onions can be planted in October and November for a month’s earlier harvest (in June) than the Spring planting Sets.

Autumn Onion Sets get a head start on Spring planting sets.

Autumn Champion is the most popular Autumn Onion. It’s is hardy as it is British bred to cope with our wet & cold winter weather.
