Wishing you all a Happy New year and a happy new set of vegetables and harvests this year!
Happy Birthday to my blog – Sow, Grow and Harvest it is two years old this month!
I started writing about my adventures in growing vegetables two years ago (I don’t know where the time goes) as I wanted to share my growing experiences with the world, with a bit of humour thrown in for good measure.

I’m looking to continue to write about my experiences growing new fruit, vegetables and herbs this year but with regular weekly (during spring and summer) or fortnightly updates on a newsletter and venture into video blogging so you can see for yourselves what’s happening in my plot and what jobs I’ve got lined up to do next.
We all know vegetable growing can be testing sometimes and having to learn as you grow is challenging but the achievement when you pick your first vegetable and realise it tastes so different and so fresh. I love thinking that the first seeds were sown by the very fingers that have now plucked the vegetable out of the ground for harvest, it is truly amazing. That is one of the reasons I started growing my own vegetables in the first place.

A few changes have happened over the year, in case you haven’t seen my posts over the past few months, I have moved to a new house with a bigger plot which is very exciting. I now have a new greenhouse which I’ve always wanted although it’s a little daunting having another growing environment that I could get carried away in!
In my new Vegetable Garden, I have 4 large wooden raised beds to start planning for the new growing season in February/March. Take a look at my new Vegetable Garden and my New Years Resolutions.
What’s next?
Like you, I can’t wait to start sowing seeds for the new year. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my planning process with you and where I look for new seed varieties and unusual vegetable varieties.
I don’t know about you but I can get a bit lost in the researching new varieties, thinking there’s too many to choose from but with a few tips you’ll be picking something that suits you or your growing conditions in no time.
Happy New year to you all and best wishes for your growing year!
A Big Thank You
A big Thank You to the 1502 followers I have collected over the last two years, I’m so grateful for your likes and comments. Hopefully I’ll be able to see how your vegetable plots are doing this year too.
