Sow Your Own – Halloween Speedy Salad Leaf Cauldron

Here’s are quick project for the weekend for you and it’s great to do with kids as well.

I’ve left mine a bit late, but if you time it right 2-3 weeks before Halloween, you’ll get salad leaves on Halloween for a spooky salad or gruesome garnish.

Seeds germinate in 2-4 days and you’ll have leaves in 2-3 weeks.

It’s October and Yes you can sow this indoors on the windowsill or sow outdoors.

Grab your seeds this weekend and get Sowing!

You Will Need:

  1. A Plastic Cauldron Planter or similar container – £1 in Asda George
  2. Speedy Salad Leaves Seeds from Thompson and Morgan (I had a mustard and salad leaves mix.)
  3. Compost.

About Me

Hi, I’m Tracey — vegetable grower, passionate learner, and firm believer that anyone can grow their own food. While I work as an account manager during the day, my spare time has been dedicated to growing vegetables in my back garden for the last 23 years.
