Vegetables Seeds to Sow in June

,

June, July and August in the UK is the Summer season. June is the month for first fruit and vegetables harvests and finally some sun and heat which will suddenly boost your plants growth.

Any seeds you sow in June will germinate quickly so it’s worth sowing seeds in the soil directly. Try peas, beans, lettuce, beetroot, spring onions and radish for quick crops in the next 1-3 months.

It’s also your last chance to get your Winter Cabbages sown as they take 6-8 months at least to grow! I always forget this but I love a savoy cabbage, so this year I am making a concerted effort to sow winter cabbage.
