Things that have caught my eye this week – Nature Artists

Firstly, Great News! Sow, Grow, Harvest blog is getting noticed on the World Wide Web and has made it to Number 35 in the Top 70 UK Best Gardening Blogs and Websites at FeedSpot. Why not go and check out lots of other fantastic gardening websites? I’ll be reviewing some fellow growers in future posts.

Nature Art

I love nature and how it is portrayed through art. There are an ever increasing amount of artists who have different ways of making art from using nature and the environment around them.

I thought I’d highlight a few I follow on Twitter/X, Facebook, Threads and you can see what you think of their work.

Hannah is a very talented artist and is excellent at using flowers, petals, sticks, leaves, feathers, shells and anything she finds in nature to form these amazingly creatures on the forest floor.

Jane comes from Essex, UK and is a printmaker who incorporates nature into her print work designs.

Her process of Lino printing can be seen on her Threads feed and it is amazing that a picture takes many layers and colours to build up like the woodpecker in the picture above.

I love the modern nature prints that she produces.

Beach4Art

This is beach art from a family of 4 in Devon, UK with stones, shells, driftwood and seaweed. Some of these designs on the beach are amazing. The intricacies of the design along with the amount of stones needed to do these designs, these artists must really love being at the seaside.

Jon Foreman: Sculpt the World

I stumbled upon this zen but mesmerising Facebook page, a land and sculpture artist based in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK.

The artist uses nature like pebbles, shells, leaves, sand and using different colours and locations on the beach, in the forest and derelict areas to produce spirals and circles shapes at different heights and patterns.

I really love these intricate designs on the land that surrounds us.

About Me

Hi, I’m Tracey — vegetable grower, passionate learner, and firm believer that anyone can grow their own food. While I work as an account manager during the day, my spare time has been dedicated to growing vegetables in my back garden for the last 23 years.

What started as a hobby grew into a passion, and now I’m building a place where others can learn too. This is your veg-growing hub for practical advice, seasonal inspiration, beginner-friendly learning, and real gardening experiences from someone who’s grown through every success and setback.
