Red, Yellow, Orange and Green Tomatoes are here

,

The tomato plants were slow to get growing this year and never really reached a great height but finally the red tomatoes are here.

We are growing a few different varieties this year but the Crimson Crush F1 which are blight resistant tomatoes have come through as a clear winner on the size of the tomatoes produced so far.

The Sungold tomatoes are still tiny like marbles but have their lovely yellowy orange glow on the vines, hopefully they’ll be a sweet to taste as they look.

You may think why did I bother growing tomatoes to get these tiny things however with a lot of vegetable gardeners loosing their whole crops to blight, I am thinking myself lucky I’ve still got some tomatoes all be it tiny ones.

The other variety I grew was pink grape. These have been tiny but plum shaped and more of a light red than pink, but they are sweet tasting as well.

Our favourite tomato this year for form, look and taste is Crimson Blush F1, as you can see from the picture above it’s a real beauty!
